New Homes Now Under Construction in Iowa’s First Conservation Communities
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 2, 2006) – Hubbell Realty Company announced today construction has begun on two new homesites in one of Iowa’s first Conservation Communities located at Danamere Farms in Carlisle. Hubbell Realty Company is the first to introduce the Conservation Community design concept in central Iowa, with other communities in Grimes and Waukee. These unique Conservation Communities will be designed to incorporate restored native prairie communities and natural storm water management systems.
The two homes currently under construction are new designs from Hubbell Homes. Situated at the corner of Scotch Ridge Road and Bellflower Drive, these one and two-story homes feature more than 1500 square feet, and three bedrooms with three and four car garages. The homes, listed with Coldwell Banker, begin at $206,900 and should be complete in early May.
Construction is also underway at Hubbell’s two other conservation Communities in Grimes and Waukee. Area builders have purchased over 40 homesites at Meadowlark South in Grimes and are ready for construction. In Glynn Village, Hubbell Realty’s largest conservation community with nearly 700 homesites, two model homes are under construction by Hubbell Homes at the corner of Waddell Way and Booth Avenue. Only 47 homesites remain in this first plat of 190 homesites.
